WDC, the original source and Intellectual Property (IP) owner of the patented 65C02TM 8-bit and 65C816TM 16-bit microprocessors, has been an IP Provider since 1981. As an industry-standard IP family, these designed-for-reuse microprocessor cores are available as soft, firm and hard cores. WDC licensees include foundries, library, design service and system companies. Chips, developer boards and a software development system are available for system-chip development. WDC's IP market development program, the Core Alliance Program (CAP), of which Noral is a charter member, provides an alignment with companies whose services and products complement WDC's microprocessor IP. Promoting the CAP resources provides new business opportunities for CAP members.
